One of the most important ways one can make a Life long difference to a child in our program is by signing up for child sponsorship. When you sponsor a child you have a personal touch with the kid as they are able to write letters, share picture etc. Just look at the pictures and profiles for the kids on this page and select the one you want to sponsor. It costs only $35 per month to sponsor a child. By sponsoring a child it helps meet with basic needs of the child including food, shelter, education and medical needs. 1.) Joan Munde – (F) She has a half-sister, Michelle, and a sister, Floridah, who also live at the Centre. She stays at the centre. Her poor widowed grandmother was unable to take care of her and brought her and Floridah six months after her baby sister Michelle was brought to the Centre. Her favorite subjects are English and math. She is a talented singer and dancer. She wants to be a computer expert when she grows up.


2.) Rose Kando – (F) May 15, 2003. Rose was abandoned in western Kenya after her parents’ deaths. She suffered abuse and was rescued by the Charity Centre. She stays at the orphanage. She enjoys cooking and singing. She wants to be a soldier when she grows up. She likes helping others. She has a serious personality.


3.) Rose Olesi – (F) Dec 7, 2012. Rose was brought by her poor single mother who could not care for her at the age of six months. Stays at the centre. She is a cute little dancer and likes jumping.


4.) Michelle Ondiso – (F) Apr 7, 2011. Michelle was abandoned at the Charity Centre at the age of 6 months. Her father passed away right after birth and her mother was incapable of taking care of her. She has two older half-sisters who are also at the Jireh Orphanage, Joan and Flo. She is a happy little girl who loves to sing and play. She lives at the orphanage on a full support.


5.) Floridah Ayako – (F) Birthdate unknown, year 2006. She has a half-sister, Michelle, and a sister, Joan, who also live at the Centre. Her poor widowed grandmother was unable to take care of her and brought her six months after her baby sister Michelle was brought to the Centre. Stays at the centre. She likes poetry, singing and dancing. She is shy and polite. She wants to be a nurse when she grows up.


6.) Miya Byeka Junior – (m) Born in 2009. Was staying with his single mother who died when he was only three years old. He could not go to school and was exploited by relatives. We took him in when he was sickling. He has found hope as he can go to school and get basic needs. He would like to be a soldier when he grows up and he lies athletics. He stays at the orphanage.


7.) Albert Oluchiri – (M) Jun 18, 2001. He was born of a single mother who died when he was only 5. He lived with his grandparents for some time but the grandmother died and the grandfather who is old could not take care of him. He is a polite boy who likes innovating things and he’s brave. He would like to be a teacher when he grows up. Soccer is his favorite sport. Stays at the orphanage.


8.) Brian Kwendo – (M) Apr 15, 2006. Brian lived with an aunt after his parents’ death, but she could not care for him and brought him to the centre. He currently stays at the centre. Brian likes to tell jokes and making people laugh. He wants to be a comedian when he grows up.


9.) Kelvin Otieno – (M) Jul 6, 2001. Kelvin was brought to the Centre by his widowed aunt who could not care for him after his parents passed away. . He is going to Secondary school in 2015 and beyond and stays at the orphanage, helping with the other small kids too during his free time. He likes serving as a DJ for Charity Centre programs. He also likes playing soccer and acting. He wants to be a professional DJ when he grows up.


10.) Melvin Muchika – (F) Birth date unknown, year 2000. Melvin was abandoned at the Centre at the age of seven. Stays at the centre and helps staff take care of the smaller kids. She is a candidate for Primary School graduation this year. She plans to continue to high school and wants to become a teacher after graduating. She enjoys scouting and serves as a commander for her troop at the Centre. She is a cheerful girl.


11.) Winnie Anyango – (F) Jun 14, 2000. Winnie was rescued from abusive caregivers after her parents’ deaths at the age of six. Stays at the centre and is going to secondary school. She helps the staff with taking care of the little kids too at her free time. She plans to continue to high school and wants to become a Gospel singing artist. She enjoys singing, dancing and netball. She is kind hearted and is always smiling, even during hard times.


12.) Christine Olesi – (f) born in 2008. Lived with her Grandmum and she was rescued from abuse by relatives after her grandmother who was living with her died. She was the daughter to a single mother in western Kenya who died when she was only 2. She is a shy girl but sharp who likes playing games and always curious. She likes sciences and would like to be a nurse when she grows up. Lives at the orphanage.


13.) Elizabeth Olesi – (F) Jun 11, 2001. she was abandoned at the age of three after her parents death in western Kenya after her grandparents could not take care of her. She is a serious girl who would like to be a nurse when she grows up. She likes helping others. Stays at the orphanage.


14.) Taphroda Masitsa – (F) May 7, 2008. Taphroda was abandoned in the slums at the age of four. Stays at the centre. She enjoys reading and singing. She is a polite girl who wants to be a nurse when she grows up.


15.) Julius Joseph Nyerere – (M) Sep 15, 2001. Julius’ parents were Tanzanian and Ugandan. He was abused by caregivers after his parents’ deaths and rescued by the Centre at the age of five. Julius enjoys singing Gospel rap music and plans to record an album in late 2014. He is a polite boy who likes helping people. He stays at the centre. He is a peacemaker when others are at odds. He hopes to become a professional Gospel artist when he grows up.


16.) Benson Wanyonyi – (M) Dec 20, 2006. Benson was abandoned at the age of two. His parents have never been found. He likes singing and dancing. He is a courageous boy though he is still young. Stays at the centre.


17.) Daisy Wandera – (F) Sep 13, 2003. Daisy was abandoned by her parents at the age of two due to poverty. Was taken in by relatives but comes to the orphanage for food, education and other services. Her favorite subject is English and she would like to become a linguist. She likes acting in skits and learning poetry. She is generous, obedient and transparent. Wants to be a lawyer when she grows up.


18.) Timothy Wamalwa – (m) Apr 15, 2006. Timothy lived with an uncle after his parents’ death, but he could not care of all his needs and brought him to the centre at the age of 6 for education, food and other services. Timothy likes to tell jokes and making people laugh. He wants to be a comedian when he grows up.


19.) Everlin Lamkana – (F) Dec 12, 2008. Everlin’s parents abandoned her at the Centre and ran away. Her parents have not been located. Her favorite subject is science and would like to become a dentist. She enjoys listening to music and singing. She is talkative and always obedient. Stays at the centre.


20.) Oliver Onyino – (M) Birth date unknown, year 2004. Oliver is an orphaned boy who was abandoned and brought to the centre at the age of six. Stays at the centre. He enjoys memorizing poetry and Scripture and wants to be a pastor when he grows up.


21.) Charity Mbeyu – (F) Birth date unknown, year 2002. Charity was born in Uganda. Both parents passed away and her aunt handed her over to the Charity Center. Stays at the centre. Charity enjoys singing, dancing and poetry. She would like to be a nurse when she grows up.


22.) Kidudu David – (m) Date of birth 2001/13/04. Son of a widow who died before he was rescued by the center when he was six years of age. Stays at the centre. Likes Playing football and swimming Wants to be a policeman. Soft spoken.


23.)Emmanuel Namwelu – (M) Aug 9, 2004. Emmanuel was brought to the Centre at the age of six after his uncle was unable to take care of him after his parents’ deaths. He stays at the centre. He is a polite boy who likes dancing. He wants to be a preacher when he grows up.


24.) Angel Gilbert – (f) Born 22 Jan 2013 is a very active girl who likes playing, singing and helping others. She also likes dancing and asking questions. Was born to very needy parents in the slums. Wants to be a police woman when she grows up.


25.) Chrsitine Ambiyo – (f) Was born on 5th November 2011 and in the slums in Eldoret. She was born to very poor parents who were unable to take care of her. She likes Maths in class, dancing and poetry. Wants to be a nurse when she grows up.
